The Kaleidescape system offers users a method of storing DVD's and CD's in the one place, which can be listened to and viewed at anytime, anywhere in their home.

By importing your CD and DVD collections onto the Kaleidescape's hard disk drive space it reduces clutter in the rooms that would normal hold these, potentially, extensive collections. So operating from one server, with separate movie players in different locations around your home, means that you can access the entire collection from whatever room you prefer.

By allowing owners to restrict access to unsuitable movies from, say, young children, a Kaleidescape systems permits owners to decide which movies are appropriate viewing for their own children, irrespective of the rating issued by the British Board of Film Classification, but, access can be denied, purely, on the BBFC standards and if access is restricted from certain areas of the home, such as a child's bedroom, then when a child accesses the menu they will not have ability to access the titles of off- limit movies.

One of the great beauties of the Kaleidescape system is that for, say, a family of four, each one could be in a different location of the home and be watching different films or listening to music at the same time.

Should you be fortunate enough to have a business trip or holiday to a country that has a different DVD region code to the one found in the UK (which is any country out with Europe), then purchasing a DVD from these countries presents no more of a problem because Kaleidescape is able to read the disc and make it available to view at home.

The 1080p output gives high definition quality to your DVD viewing, whether you have imported the DVD onto the Kaleidescape system or have, merely, loaded the DVD to play
